The big question

On our journey through this course we’ll consider many areas of research, clinical practice and day to day life. All of these topics have important implications for how we detect, manage, and ultimately prevent degenerative brain diseases.

We’ll encounter different perspectives on the directions we should take to most effectively progress healthcare for individual’s with these brain conditions.

Hopefully we’ll stimulate lots of discussion and, between us, reflect on the scientific progress made, as well as the many remaining questions yet to be resolved.

When thinking about prevention, it can be useful to reframe our thinking, away from the goal of simply avoiding disease, and toward the proactive maintenance of good health.

As we progress through this course together, there is one question we should keep at the forefront of our minds…
