Welcome to the course
Welcome to the Climate Analysis Portal. This has been developed by the Architecture Group at Luleå University of Technology, Sweden.
It has been created to help tourism professionals with no previous experience to quickly gain some competence in placemaking for the hospitality industry. This is just the start, once the basics have been grasped, you will continue to develop and refine your skills through a series of exercises.
The Climate Analysis Portal is made up of three interconnected MOOC’s. Here, the big question is:
How do we understand and create new skills in the placemaking dimension of the hospitality industry?
If you have not analyzed places before, some of these exercises may take you out of your comfort zone, throw yourself into this workshop, and soon you’ll see how satisfying it can be to work in this way.
It will begin the process of arming you to be a confident and proactive actor in the place, marketing, place branding and tourism industry.
