First five courses to launch as part of AW2020 virtual event
AWLearn, Advertising Week’s education platform for marketing and advertising excellence, is announcing a global partnership with leading social learning platform, FutureLearn.com, alongside ten new premium courses designed to arm businesses and individuals with the latest digital marketing skills.
The first five courses will launch as part of AW2020, Advertising Week’s global virtual event. The new courses aim to give an introduction to some of the biggest areas in digital marketing, including: Introduction to Marketing Strategy, Introduction to Strategic Brand Management, Introduction to Content Marketing Strategy, Introduction to Audio Marketing Strategy and Introduction to Social Media Marketing. Each course is currently open for enrolment on the FutureLearn platform and takes around 2 weeks to complete, with learning commencing on 28 September 2020. Once learning has commenced, learners will be able to start the courses at any convenient time and study flexibly at their own pace.

Using real-life case studies from established professionals, the AWLearn digital marketing courses aim to enable those beginning a career in marketing, or those who have switched careers to work in marketing for the first time, to establish a practical understanding of general marketing, branding, content, audio and social strategy. Advertising Week works with internationally renowned business names and celebrities to create content for its AWLearn Platform and courses. The first five courses feature clips from high profile names offering business advice for Advertising Week such as Gwyneth Paltrow and Serena Williams.
FutureLearn’s premium courses are career-relevant and skills focused. They come from recognised industry experts and give you exactly the tools you need to take the next step in your career. The new AWLearn premium courses each cost £62 ($80), and learners will receive upgraded access to the course for as long as it’s on FutureLearn, as well as a print and digital Certificate of Achievement once eligible.
Advertising Week are also offering a special bundled ticket for its AW2020 event where learners can sign up for an Advertising Week and FutureLearn course of their choice and receive a ticket for the event which features A-list celebrities alongside the world’s biggest marketers.
AWLearn will be releasing the additional five digital marketing FutureLearn courses for beginners in due course, on topics such as data marketing, e-commerce marketing, programmatic marketing and others.
