Emily Pearce joins Glasgow Business Summit to discuss Leadership in a Tech Driven World
We’re delighted to announce that Emily Pearce, Senior Partnership Manager at FutureLearn, will be speaking at today’s Glasgow Business Summit, in partnership with Clydesdale Bank.
In its second year, the Glasgow Business Summit explores the topic of “Digital and Ethical leaders of the 21st Century”. Hosted by Strathclyde Business Network, a student-led organization that aims to facilitate the development of sustainable relationships with industry, to educate the students of Strathclyde and the wider community.
Glasgow Business Summit 2017 will discuss the challenges and opportunities presented by the current digital revolution which is disrupting industries, shaping strategies and defining societal, social and business contexts. It is a platform which aims to bring together business leaders, scholars, policy makers and students from all walks of life who have the drive and the power to make positive change.
Emily will join Dr Colin Lindsay, Deputy Director, Scottish Centre of Employment Research, and Callum Goodwilliam, Education Programme Producer at General Assembly on a panel discussing “Skills of the Future: Becoming a Leader in a Tech Driven World” from 3:10pm to 3:50pm.
The panel aims to discuss some of the following themes:
- How the world of work will evolve as a result of the current technological revolution and what skills will be a necessity to thrive in this new environment.
- How can students and current professionals prepare themselves now to ensure they are not displaced by technology and automation.
- How is learning and education being impacted by technology and how is this helping shape future leaders in the technological revolution.
