FutureLearn Chief Exec selected to speak at SXSWedu
FutureLearn is delighted to announce that our CEO, Simon Nelson has been selected to speak at this year’s SXSWedu. The conference takes place from 6th to 9th of March in Austin, Texas and Simon will be speaking on the first day.
Simon will be delivering a Future20 session where he will discuss the topic of how Higher Education needs to ‘go digital or go home’. His talk will look at how the education sector is undergoing a huge transformation at the moment, driven by market and political conditions as well as the changing attitudes of consumers, and the changing needs of employers. His session will culminate in a discussion around the role that EdTech can play in overcoming these new strategic challenges.
Simon’s session takes place at 5.30pm on March 6th in Room 15 of the Austin Convention Center.
FutureLearn recently announced its first US university partners to join the platform. The five key education institutions include American University, Colorado State University, Penn State University, Purdue University and UVA Darden School of Business who will all be running courses throughout 2017.
