FutureLearn to host Learning Experience Designers meetup
FutureLearn will be hosting a meetup, organised by product designers at ELTjam, and lifelong learning advocates, Enrol Yourself, to delve into current hot topics around the learner experience.
The meetup will take place at the FutureLearn headquarters on Wednesday 26th July and will explore the role of challenge and struggle in learning, with discussion around the following areas:
- Should we shield learners from some of the difficulty during the learning process?
- What impact does level of challenge have on motivation and how do we find the right balance?
- How do we deal with learners who benefit from different levels of challenge at different times, or groups with mixed abilities?
- How do we reconcile two very different schools of thought: pedagogy and user experience?
Katherine Weber, Partnership Manager at FutureLearn, will be speaking about challenge and intuition in learning in the context of online courses, along with others in the LX Designer field.
