FutureLearn Partners With Uptime To Launch FutureLearn Shorts

FutureLearn, the leading UK-based online learning platform, has partnered with Uptime, the knowledge-hacking app, to launch FutureLearn Shorts, 5-minute short courses.

The app, which boasts an audience of 11 million users in 180+ countries offers short-form content in 22 languages for learners who want to ‘get smarter in just 5 minutes’. FutureLearn Shorts will be hosted alongside thousands of other 5-minute book summaries, courses, documentaries, and podcasts on the platform. Learners that join to gain access to FutureLearn Shorts will also be able to access all content on the microlearning app.

FutureLearn is expanding their portfolio to offer flexible, bite-sized learning to a completely new audience. For £42 a year, learners will gain access to courses on leadership resilience, AI ethics, presentation skills, corporate finance and more, from leading universities and institutions such as the University of Leeds, Central Queensland University and Nottingham Business School.

On the partnership, Vitaly Klopot, FutureLearn’s Chief Operating Officer (COO), said: “The demand for short-form content has rapidly grown over the last few years – and it’s no different in the online learning space. Through our partnership with Uptime, we’ll be able to transform our existing content to meet the needs of an entirely new set of learners, while still maintaining the high quality content that we’re known for. I’m pleased to see FutureLearn Shorts join our growing product portfolio, and I’m looking forward to seeing how our new 5-minute short courses will help learners gain career-relevant skills.”

“In today’s fast-paced world, we recognize that people are seeking engaging, digestible formats that align with their lifestyles. Our partnership with FutureLearn allows us to meet learners where they are by offering multimodal learning experiences through FutureLearn Shorts. This innovative and engaging approach ensures that everyone has the opportunity to learn in a way that resonates with them, fostering a love for lifelong learning.” Jamie True, CEO of Uptime

Leaning into the flexibility of app-based learning, FutureLearn is excited to see how their new product offering will help transform learning experiences for users around the world.
