This six-week programme from GLOBIS  University is designed to develop your leadership style and your vision for your career. Packing the content of an MBA into a convenient online microcredential, the programme will equip you with key skills, theories, and knowledge that you can apply at work.

You’ll finish the course with a clear vision of the kind of leader you want to become.

Understand leadership theories and their applications

To help you understand what possibilities are open to you as a leader, the programme will start by introducing different leadership theories and management concepts. You’ll learn how approaches to leadership have evolved over the years, and consider how they might be applied in business contexts today.

To ground these theories and concepts in the real world, you’ll explore a wide range of business case studies and scenarios. You’ll also be encouraged to reflect on how you could put theory into practice at work.

Learn how to delegate and secure the support of your team

Once you’ve reviewed theories and approaches, you’ll dig into the day-to-day of what it means to lead. The second half of the course will focus on equipping you with concrete leadership and management skills.

You’ll learn how to delegate effectively and set goals for your team, while nurturing and supporting them through reflection and PDCA.

Define your leadership values and work ethics

The overarching aim of the course is to provide  you with the tools to define your leadership style. You’ll be encouraged to think carefully about the values and ethics you want to champion, which will help you determine the kind of leader you want to be.

You’ll also learn how to adapt your leadership style according to the situation. This will make you a more agile and resilient leader.

Last but not least, you’ll develop a plan for achieving your goals and ambitions. You’ll finish the course with a clear path to follow in your leadership career.

How will this microcredential help to develop my career?

This six-week microcredential provides a fast-track route to building essential leadership skills. You’ll cover core leadership theories and management concepts, and gain  practical skills in team motivation, strategy, goal-setting, and delegation. You’ll be encouraged to reflect on how you can apply all of these skills and strategies in your career. Finally, you’ll also earn a recognised nano-MBA credential which will help you stand out to recruiters.

How will I be assessed?

You’ll submit various assignments throughout the programme, which will be graded and evaluated by the course lecturer. 

How does this programme differ from a traditional MBA?

This six-week nano-MBA is designed to provide a more focused route to building core leadership skills. It packs the learning of a traditional MBA degree into a more manageable, bitesize microcredential. You’ll home in on leadership and explore management concepts, without the financial and time commitment of completing a master’s degree. At the end, you’ll receive a nano-MBA certificate from Japan’s No.1 MBA school, GLOBIS University to demonstrate your skills to recruiters.

Duration: May 13 - June 23

Note: this online programme includes two interactive classes, to take place on Saturday 18th May and Saturday 22nd June, from 5am - 6.30am (CEST).

Are you eligible for this microcredential?

To be eligible for this nano-MBA, you will need:

  • A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent certificate
  • At least one year of full-time work experience
  • English proficiency test score: TOEIC/TOEFL/IELTS

Please note, the following learners are exempt from submitting an English proficiency test score:

  • Native English speakers
  • Those who completed an undergraduate or a postgraduate degree from a programme taught entirely in English

Those who do not meet these criteria and do not have an English proficiency test score will be required to take an English language test administered by GLOBIS.

    After learning, your submitted assignments will be graded and evaluated by the course lecturer. Videos will no longer be available but you will continue to have access to the student portal.

What you will receive

Accreditation

0.5 at Postgraduate level from GLOBIS

Upon completion, you will earn 0.5 GLOBIS MBA credits from GLOBIS University. These credits are transferable to the GLOBIS MBA programs. In addition, you will also receive a certificate of course completion, validating the specific skills and knowledge acquired throughout the course.

    Adam Gordon has worked in the education sector in Asia and the UK for over 20 years. He has been engaged in content management, business development, strategy planning, L&D, operations, and marketing during this time. He has facilitated sessions in Leadership with a strong focus on globalization and a keen interest in Japanese management.

    At GLOBIS, Adam is the Director of Business Development for GLOBIS Unlimited. He manages both global B2C and B2B sales and marketing. He also coaches corporate clients in leadership development. His specializations include leadership development and theory, L&D, team development, globalization, and cross-cultural management.
