  • Manufacturing is different that construction. Supply chain management in construction is vital. In construction SCM is more dificult because there are many different subcontractors and suppliers involved. Manufacturing is done in diferent environment. Construction projects are unique. Every project has diferent location, diferent and many parties involved,...

  • The most important is willingness to change from the parties involved. If they don't understand that change is needed for better and are not creative and don't have desire to make change then the change will not happen.

  • I agree, but the problem is that some developers they understand what the consequences can be and even that they build with poor quality, sell the property, get the money, close/liquidate the company and then after a bit time when the deffects are shown they are not responsible because they are gone ... Hi all, I started working as a quality administrator in a construction company 6 months ago and I am very interested learn and improve in this area. I am a student as well (Construction management.

  • Construction quality matters first of all because of avoiding incidents and saving people's lives, reduce issues from clients and make them happy, which from the other hand will bring more clients, new contracts, more work and reputation. It's circle - if you invest more you get more.

  • Agree with Jesmont. Just want to add that quality also matters because of avoiding incidents as Grenfell and the Edinburgh schools, where peoples died and children lives were at high risk. Healt & Safety first!
