  • I think PHEIC is a great strategy for a improving effective and efficient outbreak response.

  • I choosed to improve my problem-solving skills because I to ensure making a diffenrence professionally in my career of promiting and improving child health.

  • Research impact means how we can make our research efficiently and effectively relevant and benefial to our society and communities at large. It also means using our research as tool for development and improving our ways of life in a better manner.

  • Hello everyone, I am Muhammad Abubakar Muhammad, a pharmacist and a public health practitioner in Nigeria. My area of interest and research is public health with more focus on child health in general. I'm very pleased to be here and looking forward to learn impactful research skills and knowledge.

  • Hello
My name is Muhammad I am a pharmacist working in the community pharmacy. I want to gain tips on interviews to prepare for my future career opportunties.

  • Thank you very much.

  • The second option is in line with my previous choice to heavily regulate the private sector and focus on partnership with other sectors. Coupled with improving incentives, contracting arrangements and other approaches that will improve quality is the most appropriate strategy that will be suitable for most LMICs.

  • In Nigeria, both the formal and informal private providers are been utilised frequently by poor population. The major problem is that there alot of unlicensed private providers and some unregistered premesis in the country. The classic example is the large number of unregistered private pharmacy stores (patent medicine stores) with unlicensed staff providing...

  • The governments need to establish a way of incorporating the most highly skilled and talented staff into the private sector to improve the quality of service. The PHC should take the bulk of private sector support to serve the poor that are struggling with inaccessibility to preventive quality services in their community.

  • I think the second option should be the most appropriate strategy.

  • I consider both starting and finishing a task exciting. There is always joy in finshing what you have started. To achieve both tasks simultaneously, one has to make a proper planning and timing.

  • Supply chain management
    Facility maintenance

  • I would prefer the third option because the major problem there would be effectively addressed with that. Even though, there might be increase in service burden but the aim of achieving quality will addressed.

  • Not routinely measured and not precisely accurate.

  • Their personal needs might have been missed out if the women were not involved. Their perspectives toward the system are the main objectives that identifies the important qualities. Systems framework would not have captured all these basic needs.

  • Systems framework is the framework that is more often seen. Most health facilities are been assessed based on their processes and structural resources and sometimes the outcomes.

  • SCM in Nigeria is facing most of these challenges identified here but with greater impacts from the following:
    1. Weak data management and utilization
    2. Geographical challenges
    3. Fragmentation of the supply chain system with different donors and poor coordination between them.

  • In Nigeria, most health workers believe that doctors' professional dorminance is the root cause of most health system problems because the doctors were the leaders of most health sectors in the country. The doctors were officially allowed to work in more than one facility (even in more than one public facility) but other cadres of health workers were...

  • Financial incentive is not always the solution to this kind of situation. Providing financial incentive might destabilize the payment structure of the entire health workers in public sector. I will support non-financial incentives for the nurses because the task shifted does not require much training for the nurses. What they might need most should be career...

  • In Nigeria, most private sector workers are enjoying good motivations and incentives just the way it was described in this lecture and that is what make most health workers to prefer working in the private sectors. Public workers are more often under payed with less motivation and other basic incentives. This problem coupled with professional dominance by...

  • Both gender and training duration has significant effects on the ICMI. Although, effective supervision and quality mentoring should have tackle these variations. Proper design of task shifting is paramount in providing the desired outcome.

  • The task shifting of doctors to nursing, medical lab scientist and radiographer would be more appropriate to manage the problem of human resource shortages in health system. I think these cadres in particular were not effectively given the necessary opportunity in the health system delivery as the doctors have dominated most their roles in many situations.

  • You are absolutely right here about emphasizing on the private sector because they are always after the money and not the patients' care.

  • Health workforce diversity is good when there is good governance and proper management in place that can steward the affairs of every cadre with fairness. That would maximize the overall performance of the health system.

  • In Nigeria, lack of basic amenities in rural areas is the major bottleneck that compromises the health system at those levels. Coupled with lack of political commitment and accountability, health workers are not adequately and sustainably motivated to work in rural communities.

  • Key skills requirements for Information Officer job:
    1. Well experienced person in using information with some knowledge of sports
    2. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and writing.
    3. Good interpersonal interaction and tolerance of diverse needs of people
    4. Information and IT skills in using social media, Facebook and Twitter and...

  • Hi everyone, I'm a fresh graduate and I'm looking forward to improve my writing skills in job and PG school applications.

  • The data collected is well analysed but additional data is always important and required in revealing more information and ideas.

  • The government must take large role in health sector because health is a basic public need. The government must actively involve the financing the sector and manage the resources efficiently to achieve the desired health outcomes. Countries need good and healthy population to grow, develop and sustain itself economically, socially and educationally and be more...

  • Revenues from indirect taxes is equitable because it is targeting the wealthy mostly which makes it progressive. This is even more effective if the indirect tax is made largely on sin taxes on tobaco and alcohol and other luxury products because these products indirectly constitute risks and burden to health of the population.

  • The results of this research shows that it is very obvious that health insurance is a better alternative than progressive taxation. This is because health insurance is inclusive, mostly proportionate and used vertical strategy.

  • Increasing the government spending on health will serve a better option for countries with large informally unemployed population. This may be coupled with other sources of funding to augument it.

  • Low utilization of health services ( due to inability to pay) is the most important impact of failing to address cost coverage.

  • There was lack of participation of community-based workers in the implemention of the project.

  • The Lady Health Worker program in Pakistan has made a tremendous achivements due to the fact that the government has made a significant attempts to increase the participation of communities in improving the health care system. And the criteria used in recruiting the workers as well as providing regular training on programs has helped alot in gaining good...

  • CHWs are the ones in the frontline of essential health care delivery in many communities that were excluded or hard to reach members of the community for one reason or the other. As such they need to be motivated to ensure their maximum commitment in assisting the formal health workers.

  • Decentralization increases equity by ensuring accountability and responsiveness at the subnational levels. If decision space is widen to subnational level and coherent, it might improve the effectiveness and efficiency.

  • The regional offices in Elbonia has a wider opportunity and decision space for their health systems across all the three functions while Rurithania has a limited opportunity and decision space for their regional offices across human resources with wider decision space in financial functions.

  • In Nigeria, domestic political consideration has the major influence on our health policy coupled with international donor agencies.

  • Its ability to identify the problems before taking actions is the strength and feasiblity of adherence of the whole steps in reality is the weakness.

  • Rwandan system is more reliable because they gave priority to the community inclusion in financing and choice of payment methods. This makes the system very sustainable.

  • Population coverage should be at focal point of the UHC because its the major indicator that can easily reveal the success of UHC.
