India has a great problem of corruption too. Which has led to the level of inequality. To reduce inequality I think, corruption should be takled and then formidable policies can be made and implemented.

Nigeria's gini coefficient shows that only 62,000,000 out of about 200,000,000 populations hold the entire wealth of the nation and it has since not changed. As a result of corruption.

Considering my country's(Nigeria) of ant 31% it shows how uneven economy it is. The coefficient not changing since 1999. Obviously it has not been a paramount issue yet the most significant.
I think the only reason why it has remained like that over the years can be traced to corruption.

I agree, Tax policy is one of those factors that could reduce inequality. A good tax policy leads to an even distribution of wealth, creating a fair advantage for all to prosper. For instance, this has been one of the major agenda of presd. Biden to make Anerica great Again.
