  • We cannot make decision for people when they are capable otherwise we will be depriving them of their liberty.

  • Yes I agreed with the values and do apply it to the way I relate to others. The behavior are what could be developed but I do all these to a good extent but could be better.

  • It is part of her duty of care to report incident and promptly but talking to a colleague or senior colleague will give her support needed to deal with the situation

  • Risk assessment should be carried when any activities is being done to see if there are new risks probably not been recorded before.

  • I used to work with a young man who has epilepsy ,who like to swim and go through tunnels as part of his swimming exercise. His care plan included swimming and the best time you can see him so happy is when he is going swimming. I was his key worker. I was really concern for him having a seizure. There were few incident s of seizure in the swimming pool area....

  • How to get a job as a social care worker.

  • I am more interested in support for young people. The challenging part is how to manage professional boundaries with clients.

  • Very interesting but demanding job. One need to have passion for people to succeed.

  • I think individual passion should drive what type of setting one work in.

  • Working in residential care setting can be challenging because there are many people with diverse and complex needs and it is more demanding to ensure each person need is met.

  • Working towards a standard help to manage expectations and improve Quality of service. The service users have their expectations and the standards help to ensure care providers are not working below such expectations.

  • I have worked in different settings from Youth Centre to Supported Living for young people and adult with with Mental Health and Disabilities. I work as a Supervisor before I left the Sector to work in Education. In my reflection on the job of a social care worker, it has to do with mind and heart and head . For me it is more of mind and heart than head...

  • Interesting

  • I have used the stakeholder cycle and very familiar with the power interest grid during my University course on strategy.

  • Heathrow Airport Expansion in UK also had issues with the stakeholders interest on environmental impact and this contributed to delay and increase cost.

  • Any unique set of activities with time, scope and cost is a project

  • My recent project is accreditation of new programs for an institution.

  • Hello, I am interested in Social media marketing campaign.

  • Hi I am Julius interested in gaining knowledge and skills on social media marketing.

  • I currently manage international academic partnership programs the most important skill for me is communication, other areas highlighted are very important skills necessary for me to deploy on different situations. But there is an area that should be included for me is critical and that is change management skill.

  • To some extent I agreed with the definition but I think what is missing is the importance of values.
Culture from my perspective is how individual or group values shape
    their thinking and action.

  • There are many barriers between cultures including language, lifestyle, food, music,,weather ,heirachy, respect, religion etc. The simple way to overcome such barriers is change of perception from selfishness, that is thinking you have a better culture to valuing other people culture . Learning about other people culture, embracing it and adapting to it removes...

  • Hello my name is Julius Ayodele. I am a Nigerian. I live in UK for 16 years and I experienced a different culture from my African culture.

  • In my view I think development of this short course would meet definition of a project in the sense that there will be objectives set at the beginning, time scale set and there will budget, also a team leader who will be the one bringing all the stakeholders together to achieve result and motivating the team.

  • I am a project by manager in education sector, I manage small and large scale projects. I have good levels of skillset referred to in PMI Triangle. However, I consider this skills in a fragmented way not in a triangular form. I want to consolidate my project by management skills

I live in Nigeria. I am a TVET teacher educator and TVET Consultant. I have 20 years experience as a vocational Teacher, Assessor and Verifier in UK and Nigeria. I think the idea of online teaching is the future but there are many problems with this in Nigeria, for instance power supply and internet facilities are some of the limiting factors.

  • I am passionate about creating value for others but have weakness in turn that value to revenue. For instance, I have a network platform on LinkedIn with over 5000 members and members currently use the platform for their continuous professional developments and gaining new employments. But I felt something could be done to add more value and generate income...

  • Looking forward to the course.

  • Facebook is widely used by people for social engagement and learning but it is associated with social than education. However, MOOC is solely focus on learning.

  • The recent Covid-19 has shown that online education could be an educator savior, some of the million of children lock down at home could only continue their learning online. Though the students still seems to prefer the brick and mortar learning. Some of the children I spoke to complaint about missing their friends and the fun that accompany being with their...

  • Offcourse one can argue that MOOC has disrupted education in a positive way.

  • Not too sure of any innovation that will distrupt in a sustainable way. But if the innovation can meet the need of all that will the one.

  • Disruptive innovation in education is becoming a reality by day. However, my concern is how to cater for million of people who has no access to Internet. How are we sure they will not be left behind ?

  • COVID-19 has changed the way we live. But we are still trying to figure out what impact . All the international agreements should be reviewed based on the COVID-19 impact and educationist and educators in particular need to think and do things differently. Perhaps the technology could help.

  • It sounds interesting , disruptive education, if we want a different result, we must do things differently. I hope the skillsets on this course will help me do things differently.

  • Look like is going to be an exciting week.

  • The 3Cs is a great idea. I think it can be applied in various learning situations not only online learning.

I observed that one of the unemployed Adult is their mindset , their thinking and their acting it out. I want to improve my knowledge about Entrepreneurship thinking , so that I can help my students to start thinking like an entrepreneur.

  • Inspiring, challenging and hopeful.

  • I am at the early stage of moving my teaching online. I am trying to find my learner need for online learning. I need to design a survey form and send to them via email.

  • I find group project that's task based and discussion it generates very useful for my group.

  • My students are adults who have degrees or equivalent. They are digital literate and they are equally good resources to the learning process. However, some might string view that inhibits new ideas.

    Great resources

  • I will be approaching Universities and Independent Schools to partner with them.

  • UK offers tremendous opportunity to develop employability skills.I advise students to make use of opportunities for volunteering as this offer good opportunities to develop employability skills.

  • I create awareness about pre and post admission support available to students.I find open day to be very useful this can be face2face or online through webinar or conference.

  • Basically ask them to have an open mind and see the Country as another from home and be friendly and warm to other people.
Then all documents must well organised and they should travel Light

  • We live in a globalised world and cultural value is a big plus to education and let the student see that way.

  • It is a very interesting week again. Good to know that the Universities are willing to engage with Agents and knowing how to contact them.

  • Yes but the universities needs to be more open to new agents. Asking for references for a beginner may be an issue.

  • In my view the university should involve the agent in creating a marketing plan for each country the Agent will be working on. Digital marketing is essential to achieve better result since more young people are online and it is easier to reach them via digital platforms. Digital marketing requires financial resources so the University need to support the...

  • It is Good to know this sort of relationship exists between University and Agents.

  • Very useful particularly in the area of voluntary work experience.

  • In Africa context the parents to dictate the parameters.

  • The students and parents are responding very well to the two year post study visa prospect.
In my view it is a step in right direction by UK visa and immigration department , the Brexit will create gaps in the UK economy and the international students can help fill the gaps.

  • I will let the student know that she did well. However, she fell below UCL requirements. I will suggest two options :retake the test to improve score after coaching session or apply for courses in other universities.

  • It is good to know about the knowledge base UCAS offer agents. We will consider registering with UCAS.

  • I will usually explain to the students that Tier 4 visa system set out the requirements for successful student visa and the need to follow it holistically.
However, perceptions of most students is that Tier 4 visa system is for immigration control measure. It is interesting to know from Katie's perspective that Tier 4 Visa is to provide high quality support...

I have referred students to solicitor to help deal with immigration matters in the past, though it is costly but worth every penny spent. I will consider what the School admission can offer when next I am dealing with students immigration issues.

  • Professionalism and duty of care are two key area that I will advise that the new colleagues should focus because this hold together all other values. I think the Universities and colleges should make the agents to sign their code of conduct and give them proper orientation.

  • I will draw the parents' attention to their budget of #700 which is below the border agency advice on budget for accommodation and living expenses. I will encourage the student to work for hours they are permitted to work, consider low cost options when it comes to travelling to visit places and watching football. I will assure the student on safety on...

  • I need to have knowledge about the admission requirements, academic calendar, to know start of an academic session and end of an academic session, options of funding the study, the visa procedures and cost.
I should have the following skills:
Customer Service, relationship building skill , communication skill, time management skill, digital skill,...

  • Customer satisfaction is necessary. It means meeting the need and exceeding expectations of the students and key stakeholders. It should be a thorough and delightful processes. And only well informed and passionate agents can achieve such outcomes.

  • As a Counsellor and adviser I need to be well informed about the admissions procedures. The start and end time, what are requirements in each university and colleges we are working with. What other options are available to our students. Another area is about accommodation for our students knowledge of safety in the environment is important to parents if...

  • I know more about the Open University as my alma mater. Also, as an Agent to Anglia Ruskin University I am familiar with their admissions procedures. Also, I have research into some Universities admissions procedures.

  • Ranking can be used with the students and parents to help make informed choice but it could limit chances of a student if parents focus on only the highest rankings.

  • Global ready citizen are people who will be problem solvers and competitive wherever they find themselves. Each student should have a vocational skill and entrepreneurship skill that could enable them start off something if there is no employment opportunity.
