Absolutely possible response 3 is the most appropriate answer. All the staff in the company should be treated fairly regarless how good the individual is as his role.

I'm from Vietnam. And more specific, in my company, we had a policy to work from home from the end of this March until April 22th. Everyday, we had a morning meeting & evening meeting via Zoom so that everyone can share the their workload from home and their current mental situation to the others and vice versa.
And more thing, we also have a unpaid policy... -

I think the most important factor in an organization is manpower, i mean workforce which relate to an organization's success or existence. So i quite agree with Hock (1996) quotes above.
