In my country, mostly, you send your resume, if you reach their qualifications, your appointed for an interview, and if your chosen your given a three months contract, so they can survey your work, after that if they are happy with your competence, your given a full term contact, that includes your benefits packages and wages.

I think HRM and IHRM have similar tasks, only that one is international (IHRM) and the other one domestic (HRM), making the international one more broader and a bit complex in task as compared to the domestic one.

I think Ali should follow the advice of her manager, and work on her communication skills. First she should write down her points, practice her speech, and in the meeting be confident and if incase she gets interrupted, at the end of the meeting she should air her points out.

I used to validate someone by repeating what I heard them say...but I believe from today I will do that and use this other powerful argument tool... “Thanks for raising this issue. I’m uncomfortable with where we’re heading and would feel better if we could talk it through as a team.”

Hierarchy isn't really that important in that people are people. Hmmm.. great lesson. When I'm speaking to the CEO I speak to ceo not a person, so I'm often tensed and sometimes Don't end up even finishing my discussion...or point. Great lesson there. And also listening first.

My typical week, consists of all communication platforms, from emails, social media platforms and walk in clients so I guess that means ,face to face. The part which I need to improve is the social media platforms, because unlike other people who think it's the easiest, I feel like it's the most difficult part.

For Ali, I suggest first putting her thoughts on pen and paper as she is used to, and then practice her pen and paper with a colleague or friend before doing a face to face with a client. On the actual meeting, she should check her breaths, be comfortable, do eye contact and be confident.

Hmm, this exercise was interesting. The who are you question is still in my head. In so many ways, I one gets a perfect understanding of who they are and a deeper meaning of yourself. On asking the other person who they are, it felt as though I was probing, but the results brought a positive communication outcome. -

Honestly even though sometimes I can be results oriented, I prefer a one on one communication style, because it feels as though I'm understanding the other person better, and vise versa.
