  • the above chart exhibits the summary and comparison between male and female in terms further education on basis of part and full time. it is clear that the interest in part time further education has been the same way popular among males and females over the years but if we ponder on the full time education , female numbers are increasing over the period of...

  • i think writing is going to be a tough one as you cant afford to make a single mistake here . there are so many thing you have to take care of when writing , like time limit , spelling , vocabulary usage, grammar, sentence construction, word limit . practice can only help as I understand.

  • you can join any of the communities created for learning , if you check British council website you would find many . search online to start a conversation .

  • this is a very interesting and useful initiative , hope to utilize it to the fullest. thanks

  • Hi, I am Abhi from India. i wish to pursue MBA from Europe, hence I am here. • we all are affected by the economical changes happening globally , sometimes directly and sometimes indirectly. conversely, it is better to stay updated and insightful when it is about the money.

  • Hi Educators, I wish to express my gratitude and regards for sharing and educating us with your knowledge.
    thanks so much.

  • Hi , Abhi here , I need to sort my own finances with priorities hence I am here. also want to do further studies on finance.

thank you so much for all the useful information. i am going to practice rigorously and attempt for the test in month or two.

  • practice is the key to success. more you practice better score you get.

  • can you provide some sample topics for essay ?

  • the planning and structuring the essay and complete within the time limit is challenging . the writing is very important, there is no excuses for mistakes.

  • cool ! thanks .

  • you should not take reading part lightly , these part requires the same amount of attention like other parts.

  • thanks . these might be useful.

  • thanks for your advice . do they allow you to mark the key information on the question booklet ?

  • 1 - B . as the para states about the depletion of Helium and how it is going to be gone in the upcoming generation .
2 - iv because here it is talking about the awareness of workers and preventive actions to be taken by the management .

    3- Final written warning

  • i usually find reading most comfortable part of English. I sometimes need to refer to the dictionary to get he exact meaning of the word which i am not familiar with. rest are okay. complex construction of sentence also trouble me sometimes.

  • stay focused on what do want to do and practice well.

  • it should have been a little more compact , i can understand the emotion writing a friend after a long but not sure how it is going to help in the test.

  • plan it well , practice with time and word limits . utilize time the to the fullest . check it before you submit. practicing is the only solution i can say for better performance.
the content of writing is also important like you have to provide all the answers that you are asked for. here you get a chance to show case your vocabulary .

  • I have tried using that logic initially but it didnt work well for me.translation will take time or there could many instances where you are short of vocabularies or grammar. I have recently gone through one article where the idea was displayed like if you want to master English you have to start think in English and it is applicable for any English exercise...

without standards you can not do integration . so , the whole system will not form a single structure . it will be a summation of many independent systems which is not the desired out come of the problem for which we are seeking solution. hence preparing standards are only option for integration and interoperability.

  • you have to use more than 250 words .

  • thanks . i agree with you . you cant flow gushingly , it has to be contrived to produce a compact and meaningful essay .

  • just a suggestion , practicing in your mother tongue and translating to English would be difficult , you might lose your fluency and sentence structure, verbs and adjective usage may be different . it is advised to think in English only when you want to prepare for a speech.

  • i agree with the suggestions provided above, to classify your answer in four part . first , start with generic writing and putting up your opinion .
second , put the pros / advantages with examples to justify your statement.
third , why have are you not in agreement , explain disadvantages with possible examples.
true that the examples should be short and...

  • its really tough to maintain a formal letter in sincere way , the usage of informal words and sentences have occupied us all . even the office mails are written casually (not for all instances/ while communicating with external agency), so this is going to be tough to write a complete formal letter.

  • I think Cellular network because they are more reliable ,available and cost effective now a days. and most important part is that the maintenance is to be done by the ISP so no manpower engagement and less down time.

  • thanks !!

  • thanks a lot!

  • Dear Sir/madam,
    Exemption from English Class
This is my painful duty to inform you that I, Abhi Chatterjee will no longer be able to attend the English Classes. I have succeeded to achieve a new job, which would give me better opportunity to portray my skills and scale up my knowledge.

  • a letter explaining a situation or asking for some information , with minimum 150 words and 20 mins you can spare here.
time to write an essay with minimum 250 words , giving your opinion , advocating on some topic, explaining a situation etc could be the topic. here you have 40 mins to organize and write.

  • my handwriting is worst and sometimes its really difficult to recognize. is it going to affect on the score ?

  • there are documents available for betterment of handwriting in British council website. you may check there.

  • writing is something i am most confidant in among the four sections.

  • My situation is absolutely opposite to you. happy learning.

  • i got 8 out of 10 , i was expecting to get all 10 . need to practice more .

  • keep on practicing, u can do better.

  • my advice would be , stat with listening all kinds of contents possible and after few days start being specific to what you listen , then after mastering it you may start training your brain to listen, read and write at the same time. practice tests are very important for the final test.

  • truly said ! only listening to songs and other contents doesn't help until and unless you prepare to train your mind to do multiple activities at the same time , like reading , writing and listening , which is the key to clear the listening test.

  • i have stared listening to English songs , watching movies without subtitle and i am going to apply another idea which is mentioned here that is listening to the podcasts.

  • that was funny !

  • or they would deduct some percentage of the score.

  • yes, as per my understanding.

  • first , when you get the question paper you may plot the nodes(questions) , and contrive the listing time to get the answers only . these may be achieved with practice . looking for some references to practice for the listening test.its scoring part.I will definitely put up a good amount of effort on this part of the test.

  • listening and plotting the transcript in the brain and write on the paper some answers altogether is tough job. i guess practice can be the only solution. can you give any references where listening can be practiced ?

  • I have a question , if i have given 10 minutes at last to copy the answers , will i be given all the questions with a blank sheet to take notes in the beginning? or how will it be ?

  • you get to hear the sections only once. that is the challenge, what i could anticipate .

  • listening is quite difficult but again it actually varies from person to person , like their accent , their speed of talking like that . i have a mix feeling on this , i sometimes found it difficult and some times easy.

  • Thanks ! and special thanks to e learning for providing me some good knowledge ! hope to learn some more and implement in real time environment. :)

  • okay let me count my score of sensor knowledge - 1) heat sensor 2) smoke sensor 3)vibration sensor 4) humidity sensor 5) tamper sensor 6) photo sensor 7)differential pressure sensor 8) water level sensor 9) water flow sensor 10) proximity sensor 11) weight sensor 12) motion sensor .
PS- I have not considered which are available in cell phone.

  • smoke sensor , heat sensor , differential pressure sensor ??

  • like the educator said no need to sound like a native speaker, if you can clearly communicate what you intend to you that is more than enough. practice is the only key to master speaking fluent English. i have decided to try the vocaroo thing and upload my own recording.

  • Cheers! nice to hear you!

  • you are good!

  • you are awesome !

  • I dnt know why I am not able to hear any recordings available in the links. :(

  • practice is the only thing that can help you, i try to find a topic and speak for sometime at night , would soon start recording my speech in a time bound manner. vocaroo as mentioned could be a great help, planning to explore that too.

  • maintaining the pace of the speech is important and the time bounded practice may help .

  • all these topics mentioned above are seem to be easy, can we get some real examples of the topic like which was asked during the actual test ?

  • dont be in a hurry and start talking in 50 m/hr, rather slowdown take your time speak in a relaxed way . dnt not stop at yes or no as explained above, add some more insightful and apt details to prove your communication strength. reflect confidence with your words.

  • i do a lot of self correction , is it okay or i should try to ignore the mistakes and go on. thanks in advance for your kind advise.

  • speaking and listening are going to be challenges in my case.

  • i dnt feel anything like difficulty but sometimes i am out of words especially when describing something, hence working on increasing my vocabulary collection .

  • eye contact reflects your confidence while speaking and smile is an add on. fluency and pronunciation is something achievable. one can master them with practice.

  • using the right vocabulary at right point of time is very important. only practice can result you the best usage of vocabulary. pronunciation is also a challenge for non native speakers.

  • It is "Abhi " , listening to music has been amazingly helpful for me. thanks .

  • i have been into very stressful situations sometimes, a glass of water and listening to music before start of or in-between helped me. that's my type of stress-buster.

the reason that i am here, understanding the IELTS is that i want to go for higher studies in Europe.

  • dnt think your English communication is poor, at least dnt have any prejudice like that. communication is to express the emotion to the opponent. and what is written above is well communicated in English.Cheers! happy learning.

i kinda like exams , it is the only way you find out how well you are prepared.
And of course i feel nervous before the exams.

  • its better to be late than never! cheers ! happy learning.

  • the only way to measure the effectiveness of the product is understanding how it has helped to overcome a problem. if a product is good enough to resolve any issue that incurs human discomfort or helps human to deal or ease production or lifestyle , is an effective product.

  • Even I also have decided to buy Raspberry Pi 3 next week , hope would do some cool staffs.

  • hi , the reason i am here is the interest for IOT.

  • IOT is everything which can be accessed/operated/controlled over internet medium . it can be a tiny temperature sensor which would provide useful info and can be seen on an app via internet or it can be your bedroom light which can be turned on via internet may be by an app designed to control your room lights. mostly the automation of sensors or any...
