A good example would be Abdullah Kowsary who is a known Iranian translator. His translation procedure is literal translation and he has translated many prominent books in world's literature to Farsi.

I can name many between English and Farsi , Farsi and Arabic, but I remember the word 'Saf' meaning 'line' in Farsi but 'classroom' in Arabic.

I can give an example of intersemiotic translation which would be 'emoji translation'. It is really interesting that 'Alice in wonderland' is emojitranslated.

Speaking of leaving interpreters behind in a country involved in war, i remember the same situation with Afghan interpreters who expected the US army and allies to protect them from the Taliban, but they were left behind with no support!! activism and translation all, I think, relate to ideology as Bourdieu noted.

Translation or mistranslation! it matters. Translation can save lives or vice versa can put you in danger. The clear example is when an interpreter mistranslates a critical term in a crisis between two countries it can easily lead to a war! So, translators matter.
