  • thank you Hilary, for taking the time to respond in such detail about the course and your learning experience. Much appreciated.

  • extremely valid points in my humble opinion - thank you Nazmul.

  • Only being able to see the first page of the video transcripts may have something to do with your browser's pdf plugin. If you download the transcript (pdf) file and view it in Adobe Reader you should see the whole file.

  • yes I also wonder about them ... do they represent those few special cases that cannot be ignored? (Reminded of Malcolm Gladwell's "Outliers") Chris and Tracey talk more about outliers in Week 3.

  • You are not the first to ask about this Jakub :) How about sending your question to Futurelearn using the Feedback tab on the left?

  • Thanks for sharing this, Alexandra - we are always interested to see new tools being used. Memrise is pretty cool for doing just that - memorising, drilling, practising.

Just remember the glossary in this course is included for reference purposes rather than to be memorised ... as Chris says, it's to help us become familiar with the language of statistics,...

  • That's what's great about this kind of online course - you can do it at your own pace and make it fit in with your commitments and interests. • Hi Fred, no, the iNZight software runs on Windows and Mac operating systems.

  • The illustrated transcripts of the videos should also be helpful, Sylvia. No you are not the only one :)

  • No, iNZight does not run on Android systems or ipads. It runs on Windows or Mac operating systems. See Steps 1.9 - 1.12 for more info.

  • It could be a network problem or because you are the first person in your district to watch it so it takes longer the stream the first time it is accessed. Can you please try again? If you still can't view the video please click on the "Having problems with this video? Report this" link below the video window. The Futurelearn technical team will be able to...

  • Inability to view the video on certain steps may be due to some broken network problem, as this page is sometimes not loading correctly. Try using Ctrl+F5 to reload that page, 1.13, and try again.
If you encounter more problems with viewing or downloading video, please click on the "Having problems with this video? Report this" link below the video window....

  • Sorry you're having these problems Peter. That's odd that you're only encountering them in Step 1.13 and not in any other steps. I am part of the development team. I need to get some advice from colleagues and will get back to you asap. In the meantime if you could try that step again and let me know if the same thing happens that would be helpful.

  • Hi Deanne, I am one of the developers of this course. Can you describe what you see when you click on the video? Sometimes if you are the first to watch it in a particular part of the world, it takes a long time to stream the first time, but then works fine after that.
