  • Obviously, don't use your normal password Schema here, use your sandbox accounts and system accordingly

  • Tell your DPO ASAP, he will decide next steps

Any Serious hacker will bounce through chained proxies (Pre-Hacked also)

  • a real attacker won't have terms of engagement rules, why give them to the Red team. This isn't Egocentric, it's about finding weak points , and closing loops

  • Looks like an interesting week. I hope it doesn't go into explaining what an IP address is again

  • I wonder how many different emails he can share?

  • Antivirus isn't a panacea and can give a false sense of security

  • NMAP is pretty much redundant as it's too easy to detect. LOL attacks preferred now. It's still useful to lean though

  • Corporate negligence - this needs to be added to the business Risk Register, so when it blows, the board has the ownership

  • The landscape has advanced again - and it will continue evolve

  • Insider threats are very dangerous, and most of the time, you don't know that they even happened

  • Over 10k alarm system in Germany Compromised recently

  • When Humans are involved, weakness exists.

If you have a password Schema, don't share it here.

  • I'm not telling what I use!! I'm not providing help in reducing the entropy of an attack

  • What Nick is talking about is Selenium WebDriver, which is a browser-controlling library, and you can use Python to do lots of cool stuff

  • Indeed - but Yubikey 5 has incorporated the improved Fast Identity Online-FIDO 2 standards and the Universal 2nd Factor-U2F standards - The preferred way to go

  • Well, I scored 100% after the first week so the material must work. The course isn't like any other I've done, and I had to go and research things like entropy - but I enjoyed it, cracked some passwords, learned about hashes and cryptography. You really need to familiar with Linux, as it helps, otherwise a steep learning curve.

  • Using john --incremental --fork=20 (20 Cores on an Intel i9 10900k running at stock 3.7ghz, with 12gb Ram for all hashes eta brute force eta finish in 3 hours. Specifying --format=Raw-MD5 cracked 6 Passwords in 2 Seconds

  • Remove the eggs to a locked cabinet, while the grandchildren visit, to mitigate heightened risk while children visit. Look to purchase a glass display cabinet to offer further protection, but still, allow for the enjoyment of looking at the eggs

  • Very good story!!

  • For me it's all about the management approach to the information we hold, and the ability to demonstrate the mitigation of risks, and build the confidence of the colleagues and customers of the organisation, leading to an improved trust relationship

  • Hi, I live in Nottingham UK, and work for a Global business looking after GDPR, and want to improve my skills

  • My business is going through a major change as I write. It's in response to covid~19 which she to the nature of everyone is working from home is having its own challenge. When leaders have announced a restructure looking at 30% reduction of resource but the the work wont reduce is going to cause major problems going forward

  • Love, the.unofficial communication channel! If the plan is solid and communicated well then it will flow well, but when people are involved you will.always have challenges

  • I think.this a good point, the work should have been carried out before structure announced

  • I work for a large retailer and we process colleague data / patient data /customer data for relative processes and transactions, both to service, and also as a legitimate interest scenario

  • DATA is the new cash cow, and as technology evolves, and human behaviour changes, then we must protect and inform as much as possible

  • This is a really good course - with practical experience - I'm going to recommend it to the team I manage. Change is needed - so the toolkits and learning is invaluable

  • So So Crucial - and yet often poorly executed! loving the tools - during covid-19 there doesnt apear to be the luxury of time to plan - its reactive to the needs of the immediate issue, so Stakeholders have not been properly engaged

  • What should underpin this is Trust - if you don't trust leaders, then nothing will work. It's like the foundation of the Change Superstructure
