  • Probably, we skipped the value chain in the food chain (figure 1). In every step, just after production, the value of the food is increased ( Countable) and after the distribution is metabolism (uncountable) remembering three important issues, are access, availability and utlilization.

  • I raised already the issue of transportation through intermodal, stop throwing anything from the ship and think better to address SDGs.

  • No free trade, its a deal between two countries or in a geographical region.

  • I feel globalization and logistics facilities are key components for reducing commodity cost and the opposite of value chain management. For instance, we are buying one polo shirt in Bangladesh by USD20 and same shirt in UK Mall is USD 10.

  • The best example is "Made in China" in getting all category ( Price, quantity, quality and durability). Most importantly, minimizing supply-demand and furnishing want of the customer.
