Hi, I'm Nicola, geo-located in Cornwall, GB and currently working as a global freelancer on digital platforms. Freed up some time, and I'm insatiably curious, so I'm looking to return to study. This course would be a great portal to exploring my interests in social media, virtual identity and how it can inform us about individual, social and cultural change....

  • Although my academic background is psychology, it would be interesting to see what the different schools of thinking can offer: a multi-disciplinary approach can offer value in this context whereas constrained halls of thought may not.

  • Looking at Table 1, the requirements value suggests infographics to easily reference how to treat a tick bite. Usability requirements focus on easy access to a video interface on a social platform/app.

  • The graph offers inclusive figures over 5 days so, as a nurse, it doesn't provide the required data to better understand the long-term process of weight loss of a patient with diabetes.

  • Shift in burden of care.

  • E-health appears to be exponentially evolving in line with parenting global technologies. For me, one immediate concern about this shift from hospital care to homecare is about the implied skills of using IT. Some people may not have the confidence, nor feel safe and secure in a cyber environment. Data confidentiality is also a legitimate question.

  • Currently, a wearable/smart app.
Mobile fitness apps act in the form of play

  • The roadmap integrates the holistic developmental process by model of incorporation and possibilities of outcome, I.e. the main pillars of the holistic approach provides a framework of best fit: people, tech, environment and health-care in an E-health setting which is reflected in this roadmap. Ty.

  • Self-care: smart watch/app on my mobile.
Supportive care: I recently set up my own E-health management page via my local health centre.
Societal health: Bar the WHO's concerns, locally following the UK's conversation about track and tracing (context in COVID19) Technology offers platforms, a "cyber" space to raise awareness and what actions may be taken to...

In light of the pandemic guidelines in the south-west, GB, a continued process of change at this time, I'm more aware of my person-centred involvement. Just to take one example over the past week, if you will, setting up my own management of online health centre services (prescriptions, appointments and so on).

  • The link to sign up as a participant for steps/app study doesn't appear to be working...any ideas? Ty.

  • How can technology make and/or keep you healthy? So empowering people to manage well-being in our 21stC human worldview. Three words: Technology + well-being.

  • As a bit of a digital nomad, I'm interested in gaining an elaborated insight of the roles of eHealth in our ever increasing technological platforms. Also, to see how these applications can optimally influence and/or adapt human behaviour. Many thanks!

  • I see language as epigenetic.

  • Yes I can see where Kandel's thinking is going. Having said that I would bring up a question if we follow the belief that our intelligences, e.g personal, social, creative and so on, skills, and types of personality ..I could go on, are fixed entities then how would we see a reward, use motivation to adapt in context? In other words if we are to say it's all...

Hello I introduce myself as Nicola. I have a general interest in mental health and well being and the use of mindfulness techniques. I graduated from the OU with a BSc (Hons) Psychology with a view to a master's when circumstances allow, and am currently based in Cornwall working in a college. I am looking forward to seeing how we get on with this course here.
