I thought I'd be clever and repeat the course thoroughly by wiping out all my previous installations on pc and laptop. This turned into a very time consuming exercise as I couldn't wipe out the last traces of the old Android SDK. Hi all, Thought I'd have another go at this, having done the first run in the Autumn. I'm glad I'm doing so, as I've struggled with getting the emulator to bend to my will, (reinstalling anew) although I thought that I'd conquered it before! Hopefully, this course will be a chance to refresh and reinforce further.

I'm a teacher and private tutor. I previously studied Basic and Pascal with the OU - but before object oriented languages came in! I'm informally studying web programming in HTML, CSS, PHP, MYSQL etc. I think this could be a useful way to develop my programming knowledge a bit further and pick up some up to date ideas.
