I can see your point, but "ways" is the context or theme, so it is treated in the singular, as Thu Ho was explaining. In other words, if you are talking about the ways for something it is plural, but here, we are talking about a notion. Perhaps it would help you if you thought about it as concept, or a bit like a title of a movie.
