Hi Ewa, good question. We normally always pronounce the h. However, sometimes we stick words to each other and make them sound like one word, in which you often can't hear a separate h anymore.
Example: 'Ik heb het gedaan' (I've done it) may sound like 'keppet gedaan'. We tend to do this in spoken language, but you don't really need to worry about this yet.... -

Hi Robson, thank you for your question. We say 'u hebt' and 'u bent'. Nothing changes if we make it into a question: 'Bent u..?' or 'Hebt u..?'. The 't' then only drops for jij/je, not for u. Veel succes!

Hi Alessandra, good question. This has to do with pronunciation. We want to maintain the same pronunciation of the vowel both in the infinitive and in the conjugated forms. The double 'oo' in 'woon' sounds the same as the single 'o' in 'wonen' ('wo-' is an open syllable, indicating a long sound).

You cannot always freely choose which of the two to use. If you want to negate a noun, you should use 'geen' -> ik heb geen auto (I have no car). If you want to negate something else, let's say a verb or an adjective, you should use 'niet' -> De universiteit is niet ver (the university is not far).

Thank you for your comment, Salvador! I think what Aude meant, was not that you have two forms of 'tú', but rather that you do not always mention 'tú'. As in: 'vives en Groningen' and 'tú vives en Groningen'. The first we are likely to translate as 'je woont in Groningen', the second as 'jij woont in Groningen'. Correct me if I misunderstood.

1990: "negentien negentig"
2018: "tweeduizend achttien"
So that would resemble the English instead of the Spanish way. However, for 2018 we cannot say "twintig achttien" (twenty eighteen). -

The first syllable of each of these infinitives is open: wo-, lo- en ma-. This produces a long, open sound, instead of it being short and closed (compare "werken" - "ik werk"). Goede vraag! Both forms are correct. The infinitive is 'houden van'. 'Ik houd van' is a bit more formal, 'ik hou van' is more commonly used.
