Legitimacy is a construct rather than a reality. Some are legitimate in the eyes of one group and some in the eyes of another. I think Brexit is the new ‘War of the Roses’! There is no right or wrong answer. Just people jostling for positions, power and being in the right place at the right time.

I am thinking that we could take some case studies and code triggers for development in the population of disabled students we work with. For example, . 1. Teaching Assistant understanding of needs evidenced by intervention.
2. Presence of and instruction from a specialist teacher in the field.
3. Adapted materials to increase efficiency of access.

I am not convinced that online learning even follows the same trajectory as traditional routes. There is a shallowness and and fleeting engagement that bares no relation to in depth study. The more I look at it the less I feel it is a replacement. However...I do think it is an alternative way of learning.

I'd like to see some concrete evidence of the long-term effectiveness (potentially) of Open Education!
