  • I think that in addition to the lessons and videos, I learn a whole lot just from reading through the comments. It is really interesting to see the diversity of opinions, experiences and even choice of words!
I feel like the only Cameroonian here tho :)

  • Respect to me is key.
In my context and from my teaching experience and even my personal respect, lots of children have grown up and gone through school with a battered and deflated self esteem because of disrespect from their teachers and their peers.

Unfortunately its a growing problem in the African context and especially in Cameroon where the teacher...

  • My best learning experience was in the university. For once in a long time I had one teacher who allowed me express my thoughts and arguments without fear of bullying or shaming. it was just great to know that I could share my perspective and have people listen and brainstorm with me on it rather than bully me or call me names for trying to challenge them

  • Policy is a set of visions and outcomes, which allow stakeholders and decision makers to take and make actions that affect a group of people - or all people. Strongly resonate with this especially that it says policies affect people and so policy-makers must take into consideration the people and how the policy will affect them in the short or long term

  • @SalamiMusa Yes I believe it is still policy. it may be dictatorian and all but as long as it is enacted and enforced and people are expected to abide by it, regardless of whether or not it was agreed upon by a body or an individual, it is Law; it is policy

  • For me, that would be the president of Rwanda; President Paul Kagame. I have heard some people call him a controversial leader but the heights to which he has lifted Rwanda as a once looked down upon and pitied nation still remains a wonder to me and a shock to the world. what I would like to learn from him is how he has consistently and steadily kept to his...

  • for me, its many things that sum up to FEAR. I worry that I may fail, may not be understood and not be supported since I am young and inexperienced

  • Makes 2 of us Blessing

  • I would say; just like a few people have already mentioned that I am confident in steps 2,3 and 4. I need so much work on step 1.

  • I certainly agree with you. resources are very very vital and acquiring and sustaining those resources is another very important skill because mismanagement of resources which are always limited will lead back to zero.

  • I am passionate about ensuring that education is accessible to EVERYONE especially girls, women and people with disabilities. I am also passionate about revamping my country Cameroon's education system which seems to be designed to erase creativity, increase dependence and create little or no value thus widening the poverty cycle even more.

  • Been looking for someone passionate about inclusion of persons with disabilities and I'm glad i just found you @TongaiFChichaya

  • I am very passionate about education; reducing the inequalities that exist particularly in this domain, ensuring that children in vulnerable [minority] populations, especially children with disabilities have access to quality education.

  • I come from and live in a country where policies regarding a lot of things are so nicely crafted andhardly ever achieved. I am taking this course to learn how to draw realistic policies which can actually be implemented and be ad impactful as they are meant to be.
