In this course we looked at health workforce as a critical building block for strong health systems. Health workforce and skills shortages are a problem across the world, particularly in rural and remote areas. We explored how we keep the health workforce current, appropriately distributed and motivated. We examined the current challenges facing the health workforce and identified holistic and innovative strategies to attract, train, distribute and retain health workers.
