This refers to the checksum of a sequence that is generated using an algorithm. A checksum is a sequence of numbers and letters used to check data for errors.

  • When using BLAST, does the program take codon bias between different species?

This is not done automatically, you must select your specified organism in the ‘Choose Search Set’ section to account for the codon bias.
