Congratulations – you’ve made it to the end of Week 1!

We have covered a lot this week. You’ve read about the origins of genomic research and how this is informing the development of genomic medicine. You’ve learned about typical patient and research participant journeys, and some of the different ways that patients, research participants and their representatives seek to influence genomics research and healthcare.

Next week, we’ll learn more about the institutions and structures that underpin the field of genomics, and about the importance of ethical and equitable implementation of genomics across the world.
