You’ve learned about many ways that patients can contribute to research and health care. You’ve learned about the continuum from participating in research all the way to co-producing research. You’ve also seen creative methods by which patients can share their lived experience.
You’ve seen examples from patient advocacy organizations in different parts of their world about their various approaches. And you’ve started to learn about some of the reasons why people get involved in advocacy and the skills you might need on this journey.
Reflecting on the skills and examples we shared this week will help you later in the course when you develop your advocacy plan. Are there skills you already feel confident about? Are there examples you learned about this week that can help inspire your plan?
