Problems with interpreting levels

In this step, we will explore some of the issues and challenges encountered when interpreting aminoglycoside TDM results.

Tables highlighting problems that can arise when interpreting test results, such as: patients missing doses, blood taken at inappropriate time compared to aminoglycoside dose, sample taken from same line used for the antimicrobial, changed doses without advice or nomogram used, no doctor/pharmacist checks before next dose and antimicrobial doses may be put on hold while waiting for results.
