Exploring the TIMSS report
In this activity you will explore a summary of the TIMSS 2015 Grade 4 results.

The TIMSS 2015 grade 4 international results can be found at http://timss2015.org
We suggest you do the following:
- First watch the information video. It gives some more context to the study.
- Scroll down and click on the ‘Visit the report’ button for the mathematics results button. This takes you to the Student Achievement page and the actual mathematics results. At the left and top of this page, you can see numerous themes that can be explored, from achievement to classroom instruction. As you can see at the top, the Grade 4 tab is activated. There are also results for Grade 8. You can browse through the results.
On the left of the page, you can also browse, amongst other things:
- The Assessment Framework, which describes how the TIMSS study was conducted.
- An encyclopedia, with information on the education infrastructure in the participating countries.
If you want to download some of the exhibits in one go, you could click on Download Center at the top of the Student Achievement page and select the resources you want.
