Well as many of you know Singapore is located in Southeast Asia. It is an island country. Its area is about 720 square kilometers. It is a city country with a population of 5.6 million and the GDP per capita is very high, it’s about 93 thousand US dollars in 2018. So that’s the third highest in the world. Singapore has one government, that is the central government. It is a multi- racial, multi-language society so English, Malay, Mandarin and Tamil are four official languages. Singapore is a city-state country, one government, multi-racial and multi-language society. Although English is the medium of instruction for all schools, four languages are officially spoken: Malay, Mandarin, Tamil and English.
