Singapore is an island country, located in south-east Asia. It has an area of 720 square kilometres, and a population of 5.6 million (2016 estimate). The GDP per capita is £93,678, the 3rd largest in the world (2018 estimate).
Singapore is a city-state country, one government, multi-racial and multi-language society. Although English is the medium of instruction for all schools, four languages are officially spoken: Malay, Mandarin, Tamil and English.
