Week 1 learning objectives

The learning objectives for week 1
0
The first week of the course will get you thinking about the term behaviour and what it actually means. We will help you to distinguish behaviour from other behaviour related concepts. We will also help you to apply your understanding of what behaviour is to the early steps of the intervention development process. After completing this week’s module, you should be able to define what a behaviour is, define a behaviour influences, define what a behavioural outcome is, and distinguish behaviour from its influences and outcomes. Also, describe how to select a behaviour to target for change. The material we’re covering this week fits here in the behaviour change wheel process.

To kick off the first week of the course we will think about how to best define key terms such as behaviour, influence and outcome, and look at how these concepts differ from each other.
