Do have experience in using Linux? As you will need some experience using Linux to complete this course, we recommend you refresh your knowledge by taking Bioinformatics for Biologists: An Introduction to Linux, Bash Scripting, and R or one of the many online courses available.
The next two steps (1.5 and 1.6) contain a glossary of useful terms and definitions of file formats that we will mention throughout the course. We hope these will be useful references for you as you move through the course.
