Find out who the educators are in this course about the circular economy

I’ve worked at the Ellen MacArthur Foundation for ten years, working on many learning programmes in a variety of contexts. I really enjoy creating learning experiences, and I’m fascinated by the potential of the circular economy. I’ve helped students, children, businesses, and governments understand and apply the circular economy.

Prior to working with the Foundation, I worked as a high school teacher and a youth worker. I also work as a core judge in WEGE Prize, which is an international circular economy design challenge for students. When I’m not working, I’ll be found dog walking, playing board games, and watching football.

Jo Williams

Hello! My name is Jo. I’m a Circular Economy Learning Consultant based in the UK, and I’ve been involved in circular economy learning for 12 years. I’m particularly interested in the complex systems thinking which underpins the vision and principles of the circular economy, how this compares to different emerging narratives and how this is influencing the way it is being implemented on the ground. I’m currently a senior tutor on the University of Exeter’s CE Masterclass, an online program for business executives, and a core judge on the WEGE prize, an international CE design competition for university-level students run by the Kendall College of Art & Design at Ferris State University, Michigan. I’ve developed and run circular economy workshops and resources for various clients including the UN’s Switch Asia Leadership Program and Tsinghua University, China. I worked for the Ellen MacArthur Foundation for 8 years, setting up and managing the higher education program. This included the world’s first CE fellowship program; an international year-long program for graduate students, blending online learning with a week-long summer school.

Clemence Golinelli

Hi I’m Clem, I have worked at the Ellen MacArthur Foundation for three years. I started my career in the Finance sector as a Circular Economy Analyst for an Investment Fund, but quickly moved into the curation and creation of content at the Foundation. From learning programmes, to professional workshops, through to our special Circular Economy Show, I have worked on diverse and exciting projects across many of the Foundation’s initiatives. The Circular Economy is both a simple concept, and an extremely complex and intricate system. I hope you will enjoy diving into it here!
