Enabling for Entities

.
Some system entities and all custom entities can be available for use in business process flows.

Once an entity is enabled for business process flows, this cannot be undone. This is because of the supporting items that are created when this feature is selected. The originating entity will have two new fields added.

The following lists some of the entities enabled for business process flows by default:

  • Account
  • Contact
  • User
  • Team
  • Activities

Custom entities can be enabled for business process flows as well as system entities both in CDS and from first party apps such as Dynamics 365 for Sales or Dynamics 365 for Customer Service. You may also have products installed from independent software vendors (ISVs) that might allow this configuration change. Keep in mind it is common practice for an ISV solution to be managed and not allow such changes.

Note: Entities that are only in the classic web experience with non-updated forms cannot be enabled for business process flows.
