The Contemporary Chinese I:1.2
It is a course for beginners of the Chinese language who have already completed The Contemporary Chinese I:1.1, focusing on the authenticity and practicality of language data and context, having strong interactivity with its content tightly combined with communication tasks and language points. The course introduces the topic with dialogues, leading to the keywords, language points and cultural points of each lesson through the Chinese situational dialogues.
Delivered in English, this course is in keeping with the first volume of Contemporary Chinese(textbook). It is expected that at the end of the course, students should be able to develop the skills of having simple conversations in daily life occasions, master the basic sentence patterns, and should expand the vocabulary based on The Contemporary Chinese I:1.1, and associated compounds concentrating on vocabulary that relates to contemporary China.
This course provides progressive activities to sharpen your Chinese language skills. It requires a strong dedication to independent study, as well as peer collaboration. Although the course educator will not be facilitating this course, learners are encouraged to be interactive with their peers to engage in learning and share useful resources.
