Crises present both challenges and opportunities to leaders and organisations.

In the video, Damien shares how the COVID-19 pandemic affected his organisation. COVID-19 as an external threat has had an immediate impact on organisations, triggering organisational crises in many instances. However, not all external threats have an immediate impact on organisations; some external factors only have the potential to develop into organisational crises. Leaders have an opportunity to respond to these potential crisis-inducing factors effectively to prevent these external threats from developing into organisational crises.
