  • reference credible sources in your academic writing

  • correctly paraphrase information and process data to support your ideas, claims and generalisations, and to demonstrate your understanding of what you have read

  • avoid plagiarism.

You also looked at how to link ideas in your academic writing and when you should use: prepositional phrases, conjunctions, clauses and adverbial phrases.

Next week

In the last week of the course, you will look at the process of planning an essay, at writing introductions and conclusions and at proof-reading.
