Here, we will look at how a teacher can make the children feel happy. We also look at how this promotes a trusting and warm relationship with the learners and how they feel about their classes and the long-term effects.

• She is very friendly.
• She includes every student and addresses them directly by their names.
• She encourages all the children equally which gives them confidence.
• She is trying to be like them and joins in.
• She is taking care of each of them and makes them feel included.
• They have a farewell routine to signal the end of the lesson by singing the song.
• She sings in a soft tone of voice.
• She gets down to their level and makes eye contact.

Evidence of a trusting and warm relationship

• The children approach the teacher to high five and fist bump.
• The children are really relaxed, and they interact easily with their teacher.
• She smiles and interacts with them softly.

• They are happy, relaxed, having fun and enjoying their classes.

• The classes will create a good foundation for further English language development.
