In this section, we’ll dig into some of the actual math behind data analysis. The tools we’ll pick up in this lesson will form the bedrock of everything that comes later in our dive into data analysis.

Now that we understand the different types of data, we’re going to have a look at how we can start analysing that data.

Here is an example formula for standard deviation:

(hat{sigma} = sqrt frac{Sigma((x- bar{x})^2)}{n-1})

Although we are not unpacking this formula right now, by the end of this course, this formula should make complete sense to us and we should be able to use it effectively for data analysis.
