Introducing Hosna’s story

My mum and dad built up an accountancy practice over the last 40 years. My dad’s a chartered accountant. And my mum just started working with my dad. And basically, she was responsible for doing the VAT work, for building relationships with the clients. And so she had quite a responsible role in the business. She was the go-to person at the end of every quarter, when the clients wanted to know how much their VAT bill was, or how they could reduce their costs and so on and so forth. Amongst all of her friends, she was the best cook. So whenever there was a big family function, or even a community function, she would be the go-to person.

She was mostly known for her ability to make the most amazing fish dishes. And she really enjoyed it, as she would really take her time, much like a professional cook that you see on TV. So that was her main hobby.
