Make a suggestion

Watch and/or read about the most common ways in Frisian to express a suggestion, and phrases with a reaction.
4.9
To make a suggestion, we use the verb “sille” in a question mode. The function is, of course, only with we and I, so “wy” and “ik”. “Sille we …?” “Sil ik …?” The conjugated verb is in the first position and the action verb is at the end. “Sille we mei ús allen ite?” Shall we have dinner together? “Sil ik pizza meitsje?” Shall I make a pizza? Of course, you might want to know how to react positively to such a suggestion. You can use these phrases when you’re enthusiastic, or at least agree.

“Ja, goed idee!” Yes, good idea! “Ja, dat is in goed idee!” Yes, that’s a good idea! “Ja, wat in aardichheid!” Yes, that’s nice. “Ja, lekker!” Yes, that would be lovely! “Ja, graach.” Yes, please.
