University of Groningen

The University of Groningen (UG) is a broad and international university that covers all fields of academia and technology. The UG is deeply rooted in the Northern Netherlands and has grown into an open academic community of 37,500 students and 6,000 staff members.

Through our teaching and research, we foster talent development and work toward a better, sustainable society. This work is done by, for example, our four Schools for Science & Society that bring together knowledge from various fields and collaborate with societal partners on current issues.

The University of the North , a partnership between regional educational institutions, also ensures that we disseminate our knowledge outside the University walls and receive input from businesses and organizations to further improve our teaching and research.
