The non-cyclic hexa-tetra-flexagon

Watch this video to learn how to make the non-cyclic hexa-tetra-flexagon

Here’s another tetraflexagon that is nice to make and book-flex. Download and print the template below, template number 2 in the flexagon booklet. Watch the video and follow the instructions to build the non-cyclic hexa-tetra-flexagon:

  • Cut along the bold line into the blank centre square, and then cut out the blank centre square.
  • Crease the paper along the lines, back and forth, so that the paper is flexible and easy to work.
  • Fold the paper strip into a 2×2 square making sure that you always fold identical symbols back-to-back.

You should end up with four smiley faces on one side and stars on the other. Tape together the top right horizontal wad of paper. You’ll be able to see two faces or sides of the flexagon, once it’s assembled. You can use the ‘book’ flex, both vertically and horizontally to expose the other 4 faces. Did you find them all?
