What will be covered in the next three weeks?

  • In Week 1 we will present the story of the COVID-19 pandemic so far, and describe the basics of assessing viral genomes.
  • In Week 2 we will explore SARS-CoV-2 in terms of its mechanism of infection, and show how this knowledge can be used to develop vaccines and other therapeutics. We will also describe and explore the implications of SARS-CoV-2 variants.
  • Finally, in Week 3 we will show how the many layers of genomic knowledge can be used to guide public health policies and strategies.
