“你呢 nǐ ne” refers to “what about you?”.

“呢” is used after a noun or pronoun, forming a question about the situation mentioned previously.

The commonly used sentence pattern is “A……。B呢?” (A…What about B?).

For example, 她叫李月。你呢?Tā jiào Lǐ Yuè 。Nǐ ne ?

How do you introduce your classmate?

我的同学 wǒ de tóngxué my classmate。

Remember this rule: When the noun following“的”is a term of kinship or indicating people, “的”can be omitted. So you can say 我同学 wǒ tóngxué。

他 是 我 同学。Tā shì wǒ tóngxué. He is my classmate.

How do you introduce your friends?

他们 是 朋友。Tāmen shì péngyou . They are friends 他们 是 好 朋友。Tāmen shì hǎo péngyou . They are good friends

中国 朋友 Zhōngguó péngyou Chinese friend

他 是 我 的 中国 朋友。Tā shì wǒ de Zhōngguó péngyou . He is my Chinese friends. Here if there is a modifier before the noun, “的”cannot be omitted.
