Hi and welcome to the Introduction to Business Improvement Techniques. In this course we will learn typical improvement tools that can be used across all industries. Generally, people believe that these tools are only beneficial in manufacturing sectors, although the truth is, they can be used in ALL business sectors. The reason is that we have processes in everything we do. Travelling to work is a process, making a cup of coffee is a process, your work environment has many processes. By analysing our process and breaking them down in smaller elements, we can understand potential problematic area’s which can be improved. The reason for improvement could be a variety of things – dissatisfied customer, safety related problems, inefficiency or poor staff moral, untidy environment etc etc. The tools and techniques discussed during this course have been round for many years and are proven methods used by many large organisations. Learning outcomes:- Having completed this course you will understand the tools and techniques available to identify and resolve issues as well as recognising improvements in your existing processes

Psssst…………..We also use them in our homes daily but never realised it!!
