Dr Stephanie King

I am a Lecturer in Biomechanics within the BSc (hons) Sport and Exercise Science degree at the University of Hull and have held a range of positions relating to teaching including being the Programme Leader for our degree as well as being the Teaching Excellence Framework Lead for our Department. My research background has been in clinical biomechanics; attempting to find out how strength and movement is affected in older adults and those with vascular disease. I still supervise post-graduate students doing biomechanical projects, however more recently I’ve been drawn towards student education and experience. I’m keen to keep improving our programme by understanding, and adopting, more innovative practices in our teaching and assessment.

Dr James Bray

I am a lecturer in Sport Nutrition and Physiology and am the Programme Leader for the BSc (hons) Sport and Exercise Nutrition degree at the University of Hull. My research background is in the application of GPS technology in cricket fast bowling and how fast bowling workloads effect fatigue and subsequent performance. In the classroom, I am interested in how technology and be incorporated to improve the learning experience. Outside of the classroom, I’m a highly competitive athlete and love to apply my teaching knowledge (nutrition and physiology) into my own training and competition.
