Wrap up of key learnings

Congratulations on completing this week. You should now feel like you know more about yourself and how you can turn your passion into a fulfilling career in wellness.

Specifically, we’ve evaluated the different types of jobs that exist in the marketplace and how they have evolved with the growth of the wellness industry. We’ve debunked misconceptions that the only jobs available in the wellness industry are ones like a Yoga Teacher, Nutritionist, Personal Trainer, or Life Coach, and opened your minds to opportunities to transition your experience into a role as a Marketing Manager at your favourite spin studio, or an Account Manager at a healthy food brand, or even a Wellness Lead in a corporate environment. There really are endless job opportunities. Sometimes you just need to see past the job title and dig a little deeper.

Together we’ve also done some personal development work, mapping out personal and professional values in order to understand more about what truly fulfils us, lights us up, and makes life worth living. This work will not only form a critical part of your job search but should be revisited throughout your job search, and once you have the job.

Furthermore, we’ve looked deeply into your skillset. What skills you might need to develop to get your dream job, ones that you might need to retrain for, and ones that are transferable. We went into more detail about networking, and how, in itself, it is an important skill, and for many it can be a scary thought. So, together we have explored the many different ways to start building your network that don’t necessarily require you to talk to a random stranger at an event.

The foundations for finding a fulfilling job in the wellness industry have been set and now it’s time to dive into ‘landing your dream job’.
